ST. MARTIN'S CHURCH POINT OF INTEREST
Other clerestory windows (above eye level) are 15th century. These, too, were put in when the walls of the church were raised in the late medieval period.
When the arches connected to the now lost chapel were blocked in the 18th century, two double light windows were added to the north wall. The one with stained glass near the pulpit is in memory of Mary and Simon Bradley.
The windows in the chancel are 18th-century, fitted when the chancel was rebuilt. The three-light altar window has 19th century stained glass in memory of William Preston, Rector for 61 years, who died in 1867 aged 86.
